To date I have found the idea of 3D a little cumbersome with the cost of glasses, rechargeable glasses, varying technologies etc and the resulting 3D experience being pretty poor and not worth the effort.
At a recent conference we saw the LG Cinema 3D on display and decided to take another look at their “3D” offering. We popped on the 3D glasses and were pleasantly surprised. The 3D effect really needs to be experienced to be believed.
When we returned from the conference and told the staff about the LG 3D Cinema they too weren’t really interested and it wasn’t until we set a few units up on display that the staff took any interest and its one of those things that you must experience personally to appreciate how good the technology is.
The best thing about the LG Cinema 3D is that you don’t require expensive 3D glasses, the glasses are light weight, the glasses don’t need to be recharged and the technology will provide you with a 3D experience even in software that wasn’t designed for 3D.
